If you're looking for a place to enjoy sake in Bangkok, let us introduce Sumibi Hirashima, a charcoal-grilled yakitori restaurant in Thonglor. Alongside yakitori, chicken sashimi, sashimi and small dishes grilled over charcoal, we offer a wide range of sake from everyday labels to rare, hard-to-find bottles.

Charcoal-Grilled Yakitori, Sashimi and Sake Together

Sumibi Hirashima is built around yakitori grilled skewer by skewer over binchotan charcoal, alongside chicken sashimi, sashimi and small dishes. What sets us apart is pairing sake with the food itself — a rich junmai for fattier, charcoal-grilled skewers, an aromatic ginjo for delicate sashimi, and so on, matched to whatever you're eating that night.

We're about an 8-minute walk from BTS Thong Lo station, with counter seating as well as 5 private rooms. We speak Japanese, English, Thai and Korean, and Japanese staff are always on site, so don't hesitate to ask if you're not sure which label to choose.

A Wide Selection of Sake

At Sumibi Hirashima, we stock everything from everyday junmai and junmai ginjo to rare labels such as Juyondai, Aramasa No.6, Jikon, Hiroki, Denshu and Dassai. Whether you want to sample a few different labels in small pours, settle in with a full bottle, or find the right pairing for your yakitori or sashimi, we can help. Beyond chilled sake, we also serve warmed sake (kanzake) and fugu-hire-zake (sake infused with grilled pufferfish fin). Our lineup changes with what's in stock, so ask staff for the day's recommendations.

Solo Diners and Small Groups at the Counter

Group and Banquet Use

A banquet room for up to 24 guests is available separately. Great for company gatherings and other group occasions where you'd like sake alongside the meal.
